Back for part 3! A bit delayed (apologies) but we push on with a complete beginner’s guide to the game, this time focusing on staff. Now the responsibilities of Football Manager staff change a lot over the years, but what makes a good member of your staff does not. Whether it’s a scout, coach, assistant manager, physio, or head of youth development you’re going to need the same stuff in FM21 and beyond. This is also the logical next thing for me to talk about in this series because it really is the next thing on the list of managerial jobs to handle when you start a save.

The best way to look at staff is the people who handle everything else you’re not specifically doing yourself. Training, for example, is executed by your coaching staff. Which players that actually come back from the scout missions you set are completely determined by how good the scout is. Setting up your staff responsibilities properly can take Football Manager from unmanageable as a new player to the peak of fun, so we’re just gonna do all that in a short vid. Nice!

Much Love,
FM Senpai
