Ah, it’s that time of year. I have played the game enough to get y’all some free goals on set pieces in Football Manager 2021. This set piece guide covers attacking and defending corners, throw ins, and free kicks. It will simply help you score more goals in FM than you do right now, which is basically what we’re here for if nothing else. Helping you win, what’s better than that. Well, win Football Manager matches, I dunno if I can help get you that raise at work. But, I can try.
The set piece guide has been put together through tinkering on my own twitch save and talking to leading tactics makers about what they’ve seen that works in FM21. The engine underlying the matches themselves has changed so much that there were bound to be big adjustments to FM set pieces, even if the way they’re set up in football manager just hasn’t changed much. It needed a little time for us to figure out these differences to the football manager match engine, but I’m confident we have the answers we were looking for.
