It can be a tough decision to finally let go of a talisman in the squad. But, how do you know when that old wonderkid you’ve fallen in love with on Football Manager is more valuable to you sold than in your squad? Not only is this a difficult FM question to answer but the emotions involved can make it downright impossible to make the right choice. You may not get emotional about FM, but I do, so deal with it my homies.
The other half of this is sometimes a player is with you through so many good times in your tactic you forget whether they are good enough to be there anymore. The familiarity breeds complacency that other people don’t have in your tactic at all. If you can force yourself to reevaluate the level the rest of your team is at then you’ll be able to improve the team and clear those hurdles that seemed impossible before. This is one of the main reasons people stall, there are very few players that can stay with you forever.
