There are few things I felt more comfortable dealing with in Football Manager than the art of the transfer market. I made countless videos on how to maximize your player value in FM transfers, how to sell players no one wanted, how to steal money from big clubs in FM, you get the idea. But now? It’s like a completely different world. FM has changed the way the transfer market reacts to your involvement and it has caused me a constant headache trying to play FM22 after the earlier versions.
Something did need to change after the past few FMs. It was too easy to maneuver in the FM transfer market before this year, but the changes made for FM22 have left it opaque but just made it a complete process of trial and error that has left a lot of us getting screwed at times. Granted, this is probably more realistic, but I don’t believe it’s perfect. I do have a battle plan to prepare you for the differences in this year’s transfer market, and a few ideas about how it could be better in the future.
