Well, the twitch save has gone rather well, Football Manager 2021 seems to be right up my alley. Then I noticed something. The attacking numbers my tactic was putting up were purely insane at multiple different levels of competition. I originally designed this tactic for the personnel on the team, but it turns out I unlocked a brilliant way to create offense in a direct fashion.
Now, direct tactic ideas have always annoyed me because they’re dependent on the other team making mistakes, or FM breaking down to open up chances. But in FM21, there is no ‘breaking down’ the match engine like a few years ago. The same issues direct tactics have had in the past on FM are still there, but it creates a variety of different ways to use the direct passing, so much so that this FM tactic is my favorite of the year. I don’t consider myself a tactical expert on Football Manager either. It’s something I study and learn from other people who run tests all day long. But, apparently, enough of that has rubbed off that I struck gold here. Enjoy the breakdown of the tactic!
