The first major competitive FM event came to pass for Football Manager 2021, and it did not go well. We learned a lot of hard lessons about tactics, scouting, transfers, and Chris Smalling. This video is for me to go over all that I learned about the match engine and all these other factors. The more people look to play FM online against each other, with their online saves, the match engine and tactics are different when playing other people. Something about getting blown out helps you figure out what FM21’s PvP secrets are.
The most interesting thing about the performance is that we were widely considered by the pundits to have the best draft. We grabbed a lot of the best players, but did they fit the best tactic to compete against other teams? Apparently not. We did not balance our spending nearly as well as we should have, the team building was poor for online Football Manager. I have to set a reminder before the next showdown to make sure that I’ll be back in the championship seat soon enough, or at least have the right tactic.
Much Love,
FM Senpai
