An FM scouting video I made recently stirred up some controversy. Where is the line from realism to Football Manager Cheese? I sat down to explain why we’re all cheating on FM21, in our own way. Whether it’s cheap tricks with your tactic on FM, or watching my videos to make the right transfers, OR a cheeky little reload of your save every once in a while. It’s ok! It’s all part of the game, everyone decides where the line is and Football Manager is better for it. The hacks, the exploits, and the cheats included.
This is a bit of a weird thing to think about for some people, but hopefully, this video helps the Football Manager community take it easy with the cheese discussion. As long as you disclose whatever tactic you downloaded or scouting trick you employed along the way to your latest Football Manager accomplishment, then we’ll all be a lot happier for it. I do hope I’ve pegged at least one loophole you use to take advantage of FM so that you get to join me. I’ll keep making Football Manager videos that help people enjoy the game, but within my moral compass of complete glitches like the transfer one from last year.
