As a person that plays Football Manager all the time when I see a wonderkid list I immediately feel uppity and superior. I think it is just a natural reflex after hoarding so many wonderkids on Football Manager over the years. But, there’s no reason to be this way, when I can just use the brilliant scouting FM does to investigate how good the list actually is. This will take some time, but I have that time, especially for database deep dives on Football Manager.
I appreciate anyone who takes on the task of trying to make a wonderkid list about world football / soccer. It is impossible to get them all right, contrasting the scouting of Football Manager with popular lists is a fun way to poke holes in them, but by and large, the outfits that attempt these lists put their work in so that when I investigate them they come up with just a few misses. Let’s see how 442 does because I normally love their work.
